On my flight back to LA last night, I watched that MTV show “If you really knew me” for the first time. It broke my heart. Childhood, high school, all the younger years of my life were the most incredible and it’s hard to imagine that others can’t say the same. My first instinct, when I decided to write this blog, was to curse out all the bullies for being huge assholes, but I guess that kind of defeats the purpose of this message.

I don’t even know where to begin. I just don’t get the point of being mean to people. It all stems from insecurity. For someone to be able to get any sort of satisfaction from bringing someone down, they must be feeling pretty low themselves. Nobody is that superior that they have any right to treat anyone like less of a person. Who cares if someone dresses different than you, listens to music you think is weird, is smarter than you are-we’re all people and we all have feelings and we ALL hurt. You have NO idea what someone goes through at home. You have NO idea the kind of lives they live outside of what you see and nobody has any right to make things worse for them.

For anyone who picks on people, has hate sites on the internet, or worships any sort of negative emotions-you’re not just hurting those people, you’re hurting yourself. You can never fully be a happy person with all that negativity in your heart. Does it really make you feel better to hurt someone’s feelings? Does it really make you any happier to know your words make someone cry? LIfe is too short. Your youth should be the easiest and best years of your life. Don’t ruin that for other people. Don’t be the cause of their pain. For adults who still bully, GROW UP. You don’t have to like everyone, but it wastes a lot more energy to be mean, than to just ignore them. If you don’t agree with something someone does, WHO CARES. It’s their life, not yours. Let them live it in whatever way makes them happy. Don’t judge them. It would be the most impossible task in the world to try to live our lives to please everyone else. It’s not realistic.

For anyone who has been bullied or is currently being bullied, this is for you. You’re an incredible person. For anyone to go out of their way to try and make your life unhappy, is only because their lives are unhappy. These people wear a mask. They give off the image that they live a perfect life, they’re ‘cool’ and popular, but in reality-something is missing. Happy people have no reason to bring down others. ‘How people treat you is their karma, how you react is yours.’ I truly believe in karma. Keep being the beautiful souls you are and in the end, they’ll get what they deserve. Don’t let their words or actions tear you down. Know you are loved. Know you are incredible. Know that someone is always thinking about you. ‘I’ am always thinking about you. Know that you’re never alone. Know that you ARE important. Know that the world is happy to have you in it. Know that you have value. Always know, that you are worth way more than the words they try to cheapen you with.

We all need to love more and hate less. If you see someone at your school or job, who seems to have no friends and is alone, be a good person and talk to them. You never know how much something so small to you, could mean to them. A friendly smile in the hall, could make the biggest difference in their lives. When you get rid of any hatred in your heart and fill it with love, your life will be happier than you could imagine. I promise <3
